At KCI CrossFit, we're grateful for the ability to move.
We celebrate PRs, train through challenges, and work every day to improve our fitness. But most of us rarely stop to consider how different our experience would be if we had to adapt every workout, every movement, and every challenge.
That's why we're excited to share an upcoming opportunity with our community.
On June 20 at 10:00am, Iron Adaptive is hosting their Walk A Mile event—an interactive experience designed to help participants better understand what it's like to train as an adaptive athlete.
This isn't a race or competition. It's an opportunity to learn.
Participants will experience modified workouts and real-world challenges that provide a glimpse into the obstacles adaptive athletes navigate every day. More importantly, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for the resilience, determination, creativity, and strength that adaptive athletes demonstrate on a daily basis.
One of our members, Chris from the 6:15am class, is involved with Iron Adaptive and introduced us to this event. We believe many members of our community would find it both eye-opening and inspiring.
At KCI, we believe fitness is for everyone. Events like Walk A Mile remind us that while our journeys may look different, the pursuit of health, growth, and resilience connects us all.
If you're looking for a meaningful way to spend a Saturday morning, we encourage you to participate.
You may walk away with sore legs.
You'll definitely walk away with a new perspective.
