Member Awards - April

At KCI, our community is what makes this place special. Every month, we get the chance to celebrate a few individuals who are showing up, putting in the work, and living out our core values. These stories are a reminder that real progress takes time, consistency, and a whole lot of grit.

Member of the Month – Amanda Jones
Since Amanda joined KCI, it’s always been a dream of hers to do a pull-up, and this year, that dream came true! During the Open, Amanda got her first pull-up (and many more after that!). She’s arguably one of the most consistent people in the gym, steadily getting a little stronger year after year. At times, the progress has felt painfully slow, but it’s always been consistent. What an amazing accomplishment, years in the making. Congrats, Amanda!

Member of the Month – Alana Masalskis
Just six months into her CrossFit journey, Alana has shown she’s committed to working hard and trusting the process. Over the past month, she’s unlocked new skills like handstand push-ups, toes-to-bar, and double-unders. As her confidence and ability grow, Alana continues to challenge herself and she’s getting fitter by the week!

Gratitude & Grit Award – Sydney Eastman
Sydney has been a longtime member at KCI and is an outstanding physical therapist. Years ago, she joined KCI to help bridge CrossFit principles into her work with PT clients. This month, Sydney and KCI officially partnered to offer dry needling services right in the gym! She lives out KCI’s values in both her life and work, and we’re grateful to partner with her to help even more people.

Gratitude & Grit Award – Chris Johnson
It feels like Chris has been part of KCI forever, bringing his energy to the 6:15am class. He dove right in and quickly became a leader of the smack-talking..I mean…encouraging crew! Chris doesn’t let anything slow him down, and he’s always cheering others on. The world needs more guys like Chris!
