June Member Awards!

Member of the Month - Andy is humble and hardworking and has been training consistently for almost a year!

KCI: What healthy habits have you been focusing on lately?

AM: Trying to get to the gym as much as I can and a consistent bed routine.

KCI: What’s a recent accomplishment you’re proud of?

AM: I am excited that I finally did a muscle up which I have wanted to do for a long time!

KCI: What would you say to someone just starting their journey?

AM: I would tell someone just starting that there are a million excuses not to do something difficult or new you're just cheating yourself. You gotta get out of your comfort zone to gain/grow. Winners are not the ones that never fail but are the ones that never quit!

June Gratitude & Grit Award - Carlene has been at KCI for almost a year and is 30 days away from moving to Korea! We will miss her smile and vibe in our community!!

KCI: What does being “Bought In” mean to you?

CM: To me, being “bought in” means showing up fully—physically, mentally, and emotionally. It’s about trusting the process, embracing the discomfort, and committing to growth even when progress feels slow. At KCI, that meant staying consistent, encouraging others, and pushing myself in every workout while also showing up with a positive attitude. Being “bought in” isn’t just about chasing PRs—it’s about becoming the best version of yourself alongside an incredible community.

KCI: How have you leaned into Gratitude or Grit in your fitness journey?

CM: Gratitude and grit have been the cornerstones of my fitness journey. I’ve leaned into grit during the early morning WODs when my body wanted to quit but my mind said, “keep going.” I’ve leaned into gratitude every time I walk through the doors—thankful for the coaches who challenge me, the athletes who inspire me, and the opportunity to move my body. Especially during tough days, choosing gratitude has kept me grounded and reminded me why I keep coming back.

KCI: Can you share a recent moment that made you feel part of the KCI Family?

CM: One moment that really stands out was during Murph this year. The way everyone rallied around each other, no matter pace or scaling, was powerful. Seeing high-fives exchanged between rounds, hearing cheers during the last runs—it reminded me that KCI is more than a gym. It’s a family built on shared struggle, support, and celebration. That camaraderie is something I’ll carry with me long after I leave.
