June 2026 Member Recognition: Celebrating Consistency, Community, and Big Goals

Each month at KCI CrossFit, we recognize members who embody what our community is all about.

Our Member of the Month award recognizes someone who is experiencing meaningful fitness results through consistent application of the CrossFit methodology. It's not about being the strongest or fastest—it's about showing up, doing the work, and trusting the process.

Our Gratitude & Grit Award recognizes members who consistently live out one or more of our Core Values:

Member of the Month: Stephanie Orr

Stephanie Orr is officially an Ironman!

Just a few weeks ago, Steph completed her first Ironman in Jacksonville—a lifelong goal she set for herself and worked tirelessly to achieve.

Anyone who has trained for an Ironman knows the commitment required. For Steph, that commitment came while balancing a full-time career and raising three kids. Free time was already in short supply, but she still found a way to dedicate hundreds of training hours over the past several months.

Of course, no accomplishment like this happens alone. Her husband, Adam, has been all-in from day one, supporting her through early mornings, long training days, and everything in between. Together, they've made what seems impossible look achievable.

Steph's journey is a powerful reminder that extraordinary results are often built through ordinary consistency. Day after day, workout after workout, she kept moving toward her goal.

We're incredibly proud of you, Steph. Congratulations on becoming an Ironman!

Gratitude & Grit Award: Trent & Shy Dean

When Trent and Shy Dean recently moved to Kansas City, they knew one thing was non-negotiable: finding a fitness community.

Fortunately for us, they found KCI CrossFit.

From the moment they joined, Trent and Shy jumped into classes and haven't looked back. You'll regularly find them in the 5:15 a.m. class, often arriving with their daughter, Remi, who may just be the happiest person in the gym every morning.

What stands out most about the Dean family isn't just their consistency—it's their attitude. They show up eager to learn, willing to work hard, and ready to encourage everyone around them. Their positivity is contagious, and they've quickly become an important part of our community.

They exemplify what it means to be bought in, grateful, and committed to growing alongside others.

We're grateful to have the Dean family at KCI CrossFit and excited to be part of their journey.

Congratulations!

Please join us in congratulating Stephanie, Trent, and Shy on their well-deserved recognition.

Thank you for helping make KCI CrossFit the kind of community where people can pursue big goals, support one another, and become stronger together.
