USAG Gymnastics Coach and Gym Owner
Masters Degree in Leadership
I have been a competitive athlete my entire life. I competed in swimming and diving through high school, but my main focus was gymnastics. As a level 10 gymnast, I had to put a lot of time and dedication into the sport I loved growing up. Being involved in sports growing up helped me understand dedication, motivation, and the grit that it takes to accomplish a goal.
When I graduated college, I felt lost. I was struggling to understand who I was and who I wanted to be in the future. Unsure about what the future would bring, I went searching for the things that helped me “fill my bucket”. I began my life out of college as a teacher's aide in a special needs program, a gymnastics coach, and I began CrossFit. This was the beginning of the long journey that has led me to who I am now as a gymnastics gym owner and CrossFitcoach. CrossFit helped me feed my competitive beast and improved my health and fitness within the first 2 months of taking classes. Throughout the years I had to push through many mental and physical obstacles to achieve my goals, but each of these obstacles have taught me lessons that I use to help motivate others to achieve their personal goals.
I love to help people understand that health and fitness should be a part of their lives. As a mother of 2 young boys, I feel like it is hard to find the time to take care of yourself. Helping others to understand the importance of finding that time to take care of yourself and how much fitness can improve mental and physical health is my ultimate goal as a CrossFit coach. In the gym, I love seeing people learn new skills, achieve personal goals, and feel like they have accomplished something every day in the gym. I love the competitive atmosphere that CrossFit provides, building relationships with all the gym community, and watching our members improve every day they step foot in the gym. .
